Why are the amenities being upgraded?
We’re upgrading our food court amenities to provide a cleaner, fresher and more comfortable experience for our customers.
It’s part of our ongoing commitment to improving the centre and creating a better experience for you.
When will the works start?
Works will commence in October.
How long will the works take?
Works will be completed early next year.
Can I still use the food court?
Yes! The food court and surrounding retailers will remain open and trading as usual during the upgrade.
Can I use the food court amenities during the works?
The food court amenities will be temporarily closed while the upgrade is underway.
But don’t worry – alternate customer facilities are available. Directional signage will be in place throughout the centre to make them easy to find.
Where are the alternate amenities?
Alternate amenities are located to the left of the Big W entry and next to Target.

Will there be any changes to accessing the Food Court?
No, all usual entries to the Food Court will remain open.
Will there be noise during the works?
You may notice some construction noise while the upgrade is underway. We’ll do our best to minimise disruption to our customers and retailers.
Will the centre remain open?
Yes. Runaway Bay Centre will remain open as usual throughout the upgrade.
Our retailers, food court and other centre facilities will continue to operate during normal trading hours.
When will the new amenities open?
The upgraded amenities are expected to be open early next year. We’ll let you know when the new facilities are ready to use.
What will be different?
The upgrade will include a range of improvements designed to create a fresher, cleaner and more comfortable experience for our customers.
